Lympstone Village Hall

Fundraising

Since 2009 the Hall and organisations in the village have been working energetically to raise funds to improve and modernise the hall. To date we have spent £285,000, of which about £70,000 has been raised from donations and events in the village. We gratefully acknowledge grants from our parish council and others.

Our fundraising is continuing – there is always something needed. Our next target is £1000 to add extra kitchen equipment and some small folding tables.

We welcome donations and legacies and can organise Gift Aid on donations.

If you have ideas for fundraising activities, please contact us.

Fundraising events

Most of our fundraising events are held in the Village Hall. Please support them in any way you can.

Our most recent fundraising event was a Bridge afternoon on 10 February 2018. Over £100 was raised – thanks to Suki, Norma and the team.

If you or your organisation would like to help us by running a fundraising event, please call Suki Commin.

How you can help the Hall when you shop on the internet

easyfundraising is a portal which gives you access to over 2000 internet retailers, each of which will give a small percentage of the cost of your purchases as a donation to Lympstone Village Hall – at no cost to you.

You sign up once on the easyfundraising front page and then use this route each time to reach any of the 2000 shops that have signed up – from Accessorize and Amazon through to John Lewis and Waitrose. The retailer then pays a donation, ranging from 1 to 10+% into the hall’s account.

If you already have an account and password with an online retailer, this will all still work normally.

Click on the easyfunding raising logo, then register and use the ‘Find a Cause’ link to select Lympstone Village Hall.

I have been using it since December 2010. The site gives an itemised list of each donation so you can see what’s going on.
