CORONAVIRUS: 26 March: The hall is completely closed to public and private events until further notice.
We have been in touch with organisers of events in March – June. We hope to see you again soon!  To help this, we are waiving our normal cancellation policy for events booked at any dates in the remainder of 2020

Booking the Hall

Want to book? Please read this section carefully. If you make a booking you will be entering into a contract for hire of the hall which is governed by our terms and conditions.

Is the hall available? – See our calendar which is regularly updated. Bookings now being taken to end of 2020. We are also willing to discuss wedding reservations for 2021 against a small initial deposit.

We hire the hall and its facilities to people and organisations within the village and the wider district. There are a number of possible combinations of rooms, including hiring the whole hall for exclusive use.

We take bookings from voluntary groups and individuals; all bookings are at the discretion of the management committee. Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings for teenage parties.

Your booking is subject to our terms and conditions. You must adhere to the licensing conditions for the hall which are displayed inside. These cover safety, hours of use and alcohol licensing.

Charges

We charge by the hour, with a normal two-hour minimum booking, You can book any room or combination of rooms by the hour (or half hour),  So you pay for exactly what you need. We can arrange a licence for you to run your own bar (and you keep the profits).

Please note that it is highly likely that other hirers will be using the hall immediately before or after you, so you need to be sure that the arrival and departure times on your booking form are accurate and that you can vacate the hall complex promptly after clearing up.

Keys

Except by prior arrangement, the hirer needs to collect the keys from the Post Office in the village shop before the event and return the keys there afterwards. The shop and Post Office counter is normally open from 7am to 9pm every day – very convenient.

Visiting the Hall

We suggest that before you hire the hall, you visit and see the excellent facilities for yourself. We think that for weddings and large parties a visit is essential so that you can plan to use the facilities to the full.
