Over the next 3 months (February to April 2019) we’ll be making some changes to how we take and manage bookings at the hall.
Michael Wilkes, our long-serving and hard working treasurer and bookings manager will be retiring at the hall’s AGM in March. He will be hard to replace, so we’re doing that with two new computer systems and 4 people. That will break the work down into more manageable pieces and give us some flexibility and resiliance to cover holidays. One new computer system – Xero – will handle our finances – billing and invoices and our management accounts. The other – Skedda – will automate our bookings.
All of this will mean that bookings will be handled differently, with e-mail, on-line bookings and payment by BACS all central to the new approach. We’ll inform current hirers of changes and give information in these posts.
