The Charity Commission has approved our application to form a new charity body to run the hall – a CIO or Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This will take over the operation of the hall from a date in the spring, hopefully 1st April.
The new charity – with registration number 1187640 – will continue to run the hall for the benefit of the whole Lympstone community. It will be managed by a board of 15 trustees (the village hall management committee), drawn from hall users and co-opted members from the vaillage community. We will advertise for new trustees shortly.
