Today – 30 April 2020 – the transfer of Lympstone Village Hall to a new charity is completed. With the consent of the Charity Commission and using an Order made by them under the 2011 Charities Act, the property (ie land and buildings) and other assets of the village hall are now in the hands of the new CIO* charity. Still with the same mission to serve the people of Lympstone, and still with the same protection of the hall’s assets as when the old charity started in 1930.

We will post full details, including all the relevant documentation, on the ‘About’ page this weekend.

* CIO is short for Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a modern form of charity, regulated by the 2011 Charities Act.
